Appland delivers an App Store for Myanmar Connect to Learn

According to the World Bank only 54 % of secondary-school aged children are enrolled in schools in Myanmar. With digital technology and social innovation the objective is to initiate change and implement quality education and support for Myanmar’s youth to reach their full potential.

Finja 5 together with Appland are proud to deliver a child-friendly computing solution as part of the Connect to Learn initiative in Myanmar. Connect to Learn is a public-private partnership that involves the use of ICT solutions to promote universal access to quality secondary education in developing countries, with an emphasis on schooling for girls. The project is a coalition project funded by Ericsson, the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and Qualcomm® Wireless Reach™. Other implementation partners are Finja 5, UNESCO, Earth Institute at Columbia University, EduEval Educational Consultancy and Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications.

The project also receives support from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Myanmar.
