Launched at Pakistan’s First Ever Digital Festival
Telenor is among the largest operators in the world and Telenor Pakistan has a total subscriber base of over 36 million. In May 2016 Telenor hosted a digital festival where they showcased how they want to transform Pakistan digitally.
Launch of local App Store
One of the products launched, is their new local App Store, Appbox hosted and powered by Appland. For consumers in Pakistan this is great news since they can buy apps and pay through the mobile phone balance. Currently only 0,13% of the population have a credit card and are limited to buy apps. Appbox is a great solution to the problem.
Local Developers can now sell their apps
Telenor Pakistan has created a platform where it is possible for local developers to distribute and sell their apps. The developers can upload their apps and when Telenor Pakistan has approved them they will be available in the Appbox App Store.
